Jev pricing by channel
Jev pricing by channel is the dated invoice matrix: same model class, different storefronts. Snapshot: 2026-09-21. List prices are vendor claims. If a blog disagrees with the linked card, the card wins. TypeSafe’s models page is first-party truth for the unit rate.

Buyer recommendation (ops, not a benchmark)
OpenRouter wins when you want unified billing, no TypeSafe waitlist, and the official TypeSafe SDK pointed at https://openrouter.ai/api. You pay OR. Their provider table lists a single upstream: TypeSafe — so you are not shopping a second model farm. Weighted avg $0.04152 / M input is their published average, not a guaranteed discount. Setup: Jev on OpenRouter.
TypeSafe direct wins when you already have a console key and care about first-party docs, jev-1.13.0 pins, official Playground, and the 64k combined budget. Gateways that card 32k are a different envelope. Setup: Jev on TypeSafe.
Vercel wins when the app already lives on AI SDK / Gateway budgets / ZDR flags, or when the dashboard still shows the Free promo (provider table did on this date; rival notes said through 25 September). Do not buy Gateway credits just to “unlock” a trial if you wanted the monthly free-credit bucket — Vercel’s pricing docs say purchasing credits moves the team to the paid tier. Setup: Jev on Vercel AI Gateway.
Cloudflare wins only as a Worker-native door until they publish a public $/M.
Netlify is a maybe: models are priced, call shape is unverified here.
Which channel for me (2026-09-21)
- Need a $0 sticker this week and already on Vercel? Open the Gateway dashboard. If
typesafe-ai/jevstill shows Free → Vercel setup without buying credits. - No TypeSafe invite, one bill for many models → OpenRouter setup.
- Console key + official pin + 64k envelope → TypeSafe setup.
- Already in a Worker → Cloudflare dashboard price; no first-party cookbook on this site.
- Already on Netlify credits → confirm System One routes before you migrate.
Hub with the same tree plus “not found” shops: Jev channels.
Performance (documented diffs only)
Do not treat this page as a latency bake-off. We did not time the doors.
What is documented:
- Same upstream on OpenRouter. Their Jev 1.13 page: “hosted by one provider… forwards every request to it directly.” Provider row: TypeSafe, list $0.042, output Free. Published P50 latency 0.26 s, uptime (3d) 100%, availability (3d) 99.86% — OpenRouter’s monitors, re-checked 2026-09-21, not a jev.pro probe.
- Context caps disagree. TypeSafe models page: 64k combined / 32k state+longest question. OpenRouter, Vercel provider, and Cloudflare cards we fetched: 32k.
- Endpoint quirks. Chat-completions SDKs will not speak System One. Vercel AI SDK uses
boolean; first-party and OpenRouter SDK examples usenoul. Cloudflare REST wrapsstate/questionsininput. - Throttle class. TypeSafe publishes 250k tok/s and 1,200 RPM (dynamic). Vercel free-tier requests are rate-limited per model (their docs); third-party batch notes are not our measurement.
Run your own latency probe from the region your users hit. Log usage, the door’s generation id, and response.model.
FAQ
Is the cheapest sticker always the cheapest invoice?
No. Promo windows, weighted averages, platform fees, and 429 retries move the effective rate. Date-stamp the card you used.
Does OpenRouter add a second Jev provider you can race?
Not on the card we fetched. One provider: TypeSafe.
Will you pick a reseller for procurement?
No. We map friction. You pick the MSA.
What this page does not claim
- No invented $/M for Cloudflare.
- No “OpenRouter is 12 ms faster.”
- No promise the Vercel Free row survives 25 September 2026.
